About us

Your Mobile Vet in Chesterfield

Hello! I’m Dr. Katie Burke, BVetMed MRCVS, head vet and chief Sat-Nav operator at Peak Community Vet.

I’m an adopted daughter of the glorious Peak District, having been born not too far away in Yorkshire. I have a young family, two dogs and two cats – Bear,  Maple, Emily, and Pickle, who all conspire to keep me busy when I’m not in uniform!

Having worked in traditional veterinary practice since qualifying from the Royal Veterinary College, London in 2002, in 2018 I fulfilled my dream of running my own business with the launch of Peak Community Vet.

I feel passionately that veterinary care should always be tailored to the individual needs of pets and their owners, and I wanted to be free of the limitations of typical veterinary practice – often this means spending just ten minutes rushing through a diagnosis on a stressed animal.

Peak Community Vet’s mobile service allows me more time to get to know patients (their preferences, personalities, routines and histories), and build strong links with clients and the local community.

Convenience, compassion and quality are the founding principles of Peak Community Vet, and I promise you’ll see and feel these in action on every visit.

I look forward to meeting you and your pets

Natalie Mobile Vet Chesterfield
Hello my name is Natalie Churchard RVN. I qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2009 and joined Peak Community Vet in November 2020.

I really enjoy working within the community offering veterinary care in the comfort of our clients homes.

My favourite aspect of the job is seeing how grateful our clients are and how much they appreciate us offering home visits.

I also have an OCN level 3 diploma in dog grooming and run my own small business @ronniesgroomroom. I enjoy spending time with my family walking our Hungarian Vizsla Pippa and spaniel George in the Peak District and when we can escape to the Lake District
